Installer crashes in begin phase of installing. 
Message: "unimplemented trap executed, CP Protocol Violation".
(I get this in version 1.0C3, while installing a previous version 0.9.7 
worked fine).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.download
2.install
3.remove
4. install
5. remove
6. download
7. install
etc.

Actual Results:  every time same results and same message

Expected Results:  installing 1.0C3 version in the same correct way as I 
installed 0.9.7 earlier

I'll use version 0.9.7 and will wait for final version with correct installer.

reporter, have you completely removed version 0.9.7 before attempting to install
1.0RC3?

presumably you have a NuBus mac and you didn't read the release notes.

I assume you mean the patch in bug #125411?  I can do a build w/patch if you
have an ftp site I can upload it to.
