1489289 - upload of images to bugzilla often fails: connection issues

Today I tried to use the new attachment uploader for the first time, and both with drag and drop or selecting the file with the file browser and upload after it, the upload fails due what seems to be disguised as connection issues (after x * 10s). Either the page tab turns white or shows "Secure Connection Failed". I have tried this with two images, both screenshots and each ~1MB. The fourth or fifth attempt (after 8 hours ago and a few minutes ago) worked.

Browser were the latest two Firefox Nightly versions. No issues noticed with other sites.

I thought an infra issue leading to the Secure Connection Failed error (Bug 1449742) had already been fixed. Will try to understand what’s happening.

I’m honestly not sure what happens when base64-decoded attachment data (1.37x of the original size) exceeds the 10 MB limit, but 1 MB data should be no problem.

Let's resolve as worksforme and reopen if it fails again.
