I think we will have trouble reproducing this by switching off our computers with the power(?) switch during a thunder(?)storm.
All I can recommend is reinstalling Thunderbird. This is really a support case. BTW, with the release of TB 60.1 any version 52.x will be unsupported.
We're unlikely to action this bug.

Thank you for your response...
What I did:
When i switched off the computer too quickly with the switch button, i got 2 problems the day after:
1. I lost a part of the Trash folders
2. I got the folder pane changed with "Draft" and "Outbox" in english instead of french...
I tried many things to resolve the problems... but with no success...
I even reinstalled Thunderbird 60.0, but in vain... always the same problems...
Thanks in advance for your suggestions...

Is this POP or IMAP? Looks like the folders got corrupted somehow. If they lost the "special folder" flags, their names won't be localised. That's what your seeing.
So I'd repair the folders (right-click, Properties, Repair Folder). Also check which folders are selected as Draft and Outbox (really, or Sent?) in the account settings.
If you don't have unsent messages in the Outbox, you can delete it at OS level from your profile (which TB is not running) and TB will recreate it. Same goes for the Drafts folder, of course copy any drafts you want to keep elsewhere.
Needless to say that you take a backup before you do any of that.

Hello Jorg K,
I have an Imap account with "Orange" mail subscription.
I have done what you told me :
1. Save The Thunderbird folder
2. Repair "Draft and Outbox" folders in Properties
3. Delete the "Draft and Outbox" folders from my profile
And when i've restarted Thunderbird, it have recreated them in the same format (In English)...
Thanks in advance...

Well, did you check which folder is the drafts folder in the account settings. For the drafts, you can move drafts to a local folder, then remove the folder again and then move it back. And when you removed Drafts and Outbox, did you also remove the corresponding .msf files?

In my account settings (imap.orange.fr), i have:
1. draft in other folder
2. Outbox in other folder
I've done the change to local folders... but they appears as if i had done nothing...
Other thing :
what do you mean by selecting "Draft and Outbox" folders as "Really or Sent" in the account settings ?
Thanks...(In reply to Jorg K (GMT+2) from comment #5)

Well, you must make sure a different folder temporarily serves as Sent and Drafts.
Your answer confirms that we're not talking about the Outbox which holds messages which are in the process of being sent. Try "File > Sent Later (Crlt+Shift+Enter)", then you'll see it. We're talking about the Sent folder since only that one can be configured in the account settings.
Again, if you delete the folders, be sure to delete Drafts and Drafts.msf and Sent and Sent.msf. Of course deleting Sent will delete all the sent messages. So as a first attempt *only* delete or rename Sent.msf. That file will be rebuilt.
Summary: Folder pane Draft and Outbox in english and not in french → Folder pane Draft and Sent in English and not in French (not localized due to lost folder flag)

Hello Jorg K,
I've searched on the web... and my problem is directly relied to "Orange and SFR" in France...
Nobody has found the solution... but it seems to come from those 2 mail boxes subsriptions...

Wasn't it due to the abrupt shutdown due a thunderstorm? Wasn't it working before?
Can you paste the link(s) here, I can also read/speak French. I found:
https://forums.mozfr.org/viewtopic.php?t=101815
and from there:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543227
BTW, I fixed the "Deleted" issue, see bug 1320191. We could fix the other ones, too. But Draft should already be recognised and localised. Outbox is of course totally wrong, it should be "Sent". As explained in comment #7, the Outbox is a special folder that holds messages while they're being send or kept to be sent later (Ctrl+Shift+Enter).

If it's IMAP, you can just create a new profile by starting "Thunderbird -p". Does is work then?

OK, I found this:
https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/configurer-les-dossiers-speciaux-dun-compte-imap
Looks like the problem is that Orange calls the Drafts folder DRAFT and the Sent folder OUTBOX.
So this becomes a duplicate of bug 543227.

Bonsoir, can you please download a Daily build from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-central-l10n/
File thunderbird-64.0a1.fr.win32.installer.exe 36M 13-Sep-2018 22:23
File thunderbird-64.0a1.fr.win32.zip 54M 13-Sep-2018 22:23
File thunderbird-64.0a1.fr.win64.installer.exe 38M 13-Sep-2018 22:21
File thunderbird-64.0a1.fr.win64.zip 57M 13-Sep-2018 22:21
Either an installer or a ZIP file if you don't want to install. Make sure you don't overwrite your existing installation and install into a new location.
Please test this on a new profile, not your normal "production" profile. "DRAFT" and "OUTBOX" should now be localised.

Don't worry, this has already been tested and confirmed working, see bug 543227 comment #27. It will be fixed in TB 60.2 ESR which is the next version we ship, hopefully next week.
