I visited a website that had video embedded on the page. Firefox created a notification in the system notifications list to play or mute the video. I've since closed the tab and now I can't dismiss the Firefox video notification from the system notification list. It's stuck there. If I click on the notification for the video the Firefox application is brought to the foreground, but that is all. Nothing else happens. This is particularly annoying because the notification is from a video I did not ask for or play on purpose. It was an auto-play embedded video on a news site. Steps to reproduce: 1. Visit https://www.fastcompany.com/90235559/inbox-googles-playground-for-email-innovation-is-going-bye-bye in Firefox for Android 2. Notification with Firefox video controls appears in the system notification list 3. Close the website tab Expected behaviour: The video notification in the system notification list should disappear. Actual behaviour: The video notification remains. Swiping to the left or right to dismiss the notification doesn't work. It's stuck! Tapping on the notification brings Firefox to the foreground but nothing else happens. Firefox version: 63.0b3 Build ID: 20180904170936 Phone: Samsung Galaxy 7 Android version: 8.0.0
I can confirm this problem on a Pixel 3. It's incredibly annoying and results in me force quitting Firefox frequently to clear the notifications.

Is this in the right component, is this an AV bug a Firefox for Android bug? I'm not sure where the code for this would live. :snorp, do you know off hand? (Sorry if you're not the right person for this)

I also encounter this bug on a regular basis.
Firefox 65.0.1
Android 9 on Pixel 2
This has happened to me for a long time, on both a Nexus 5X (Oreo) and a Moto X4 (Pie).
Also a persistent problem for me. Pixel 1 and Pixel 3a.
This is especially annoying for pages that I want to receive notifications from, but then have a large and un-dismissable notification.
Likely related bugs:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1385640
and
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1347647
which indicates that similar behaviour was known and left in to keep a notification about a tab that is ostensibly using data.
This seems like less of a justification when "block autoplay" exists.

You can temporarily fix this by allowing Autoplay Media from Menu - Settings - Advanced - Media Playback.
