Once again, updating Thunderbird to 63.0b1 broke provider for Google Calendar. This happens all the time, and using "check for updates) in th3e TB Add-on manager should be able to find the required update. It is quite impossible for a user to find it by himself.

Provider for Google Calendar v4.4.2 is listed as "incompatible with" Thunderbird v63.0b1 and Lightning v6.5. It will not load. One of the three components needs to be modified. I am running Win10 64bit.

There's been delays getting new versions of Lightning and the Google Provider onto our Add-Ons site. I'm not sure what those delays are.
In the meantime, here is a copy from our build automation. It's only in English, and there may be other small things wrong with it (the version number doesn't line up with the released one, for instance), but it should be sufficient.

Ahh. I see it, and it works. Thanks. There really needs to be a painless update system for this...

Keep in mind that you are using pre-release beta software that is intended for testing purposes. If you need a stable and reliable calendar you might want to switch from beta to release channel.

gdata provider 4.4 has died again for TB 64.0b1. If you want beta testers, you need to have the requires updates available, and to tell us where to get them from.

This is Lightning 6.6

It can be found at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/provider-for-google-calendar
But it is time that provider was incorporated into TB, the same way Lightning is. Almost everyone (1.5 billion!) have a gmail account.

James, Being that Provider For Google Calendar has been updated to 4.8 in tandem with TB 67.0b3, is this bug valid anymore? Can we close now as WorksForMe?
