In bug 1500811 comment 0 I tried to link to the `std::optional::operator*` page on cppreference.com, which is at the following URL:
https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/utility/optional/operator*
But as you can see above, Bugzilla does not include the trailing '*' in the link.
Percent-encoding works: https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/utility/optional/operator%2A but going there automatically changes to the '*' URL -- I'm not sure if it's Firefox or the website making this change, but it shows that Firefox thinks it's fine.
It would be a bit more work for the bug writer to remember and percent-encode the URL, and leads to a confusingly-different URL.
So should Bugzilla automatically include '*' in URLs?
Hopefully it shouldn't break existing pages, unless someone used a '*' as an asterisk (referring to a note below) right after a URL; could someone try to find out?

I think this is the same issue as Bug 1486320. The linkification needs to be improved.
