when selecting a link to an exe-file, a zip-file, etc., browser attempts to save
it as midi-file. the same behavior occurs when 'save target as' is selected
from the context menu

problem may be more generic than I thought -- today it is sticking as txt-file.
regardless, the problem is annoying but not critical (except at 3:00am)
