Steps to reproduce:

Original report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1796777

Original report filed using Ubuntu 16.04 and Thunderbird 52.9.1
Confirmed using Ubuntu 18.10 and Thunderbird 60.2.1

In order to confirm the above report in Ubuntu I created a folder in one of my IMAP accounts where all messages are set to be downloaded. The "Select this folder for offline use" checkbox was selected as I would expect sub-folders to inherit the properties of the main folder. I then moved this test folder elsewhere in the folder tree.

Actual results:

The "Select this folder for offline use" check box was cleared.

Expected results:

The "Select this folder for offline use" check box should remain checked.

Walt does this also fail for you?

It did the first time I moved the folder.

I created a test folder at the account level.
Checked that "Select this folder for offline use" was enabled.
Moved it to be under the [Gmail] folder where I have Drafts, Sent Mail, Trash, Spam, Bugzilla and a couple other folders.
Checked "Properties > Synchronization" and the check mark was removed.
Reset the check mark to enable "Select this folder for offline use".
Then moved it again several times and it remained checked.
