Steps to reproduce:

1) Choose a folder (such as the inbox) from the folder listing pane.
2) Select several messages from that folder in the email pane.
3) Click and drag the selected messages to a different folder in the folder listing pane in order to move them to the new folder.


Actual results:

Upon clicking to begin the drag, the "closed fist" selection cursor ends up floating in the middle of a huge rectangle containing slightly miniaturized images of the subject lines and to/from information and so forth (everything visible in the email listings pane) for all the emails that I've selected.  If, when I click to begin my click-and-drag, the cursor is centered in the middle of the desired block of emails, the cursor will be in the center of this huge rectangle as well.  Thus, when I hover over the folder pane to attempt a drop, the giant block completely obscures the folder names and I cannot tell whether I am dropping the emails into the correct folder.


Expected results:

The cursor turns into a "closed fist" or some other similar cursor-sized image.  This cursor-sized object can be placed precisely over the desired folder in the folder listing pane so that I can be sure I am dropping the emails in the right folder.  (This is how it used to work.)

Alternately, if this is not possible/desirable, the giant image block should snap to a position relative to the cursor tip that does not obscure what is beneath the cursor, or the giant image block should be made transparent.

Confirming this bug. This seems to depend on gnome theme or something else. If i drag messages, dragged image is opaque and very hard to move to right folder. If colleague does same, image is transparent and targeting right folder is easier.

This is quite new bug, maybe introduced in 60.

This seems correct. Setting nglayout.enable_drag_images to false, as suggested in that bug, is good enough for my needs, at least.
