PNG images used as background images in table cells are not rendering properly
or are just not being rendered. This is exclusive to the Windows version. I'm
reproducing this in Mozilla 1.0 - 20020530 under Windows2000. It works
correctly in Linux and MacOSX.
Here is a link to a page that exhibits this behavior:
http://dirtyredcommie.com/mozbug.html
This seems to occur both when the background is set in the TD tag and when it's
set in the STYLE of a table cell.
Dragging a smaller window around on top of Mozilla causes abnormal redraws of
the image as can be seen in a screenshot I will enter. If the table background
image in question is drawn at all, it will dissappear if the page is scrolled.
However, if it passes underneath a transparent PNG, it will be visible through
that transparent PNG, though it will not be positioned correctly. This seems to
be secondary behavior, however.
Here you can see the effect caused by scrolling my page at
http://dirtyredcommie.com/mozbug.html . The images that should be drawn as
backgrounds to tables are not drawn during scrolling, but parts of them can be
seen through the alpha-layered PNG that they scroll under.
This is the effect I can create when dragging a smaller window around on top of
mozilla. The table backgrounds are partially redrawn, but they are offset so
that the top left corner of the background graphic appears at the point where
the redraw starts.
This is the expected behavior of this page as seen from Mozilla 1.0 in Linux.

This must have been fixed since the 5-30 build you tested under. Can you please
recheck with a newer build. Win build currently matches the screenshot of
attachment 87217 [details] (WFM using win build 6-10-2002 under WinXP).

I'm pretty sure this is bug 137223, which has been fixed on the trunk, but
didn't make it into mozilla 1.0 (it's coming in 1.0.1, though!). The corruption
on repaint is described in bug 121230, which _did_ make 1.0, but only for images
in <img> tags. Background images had to wait for bug 137223 for their fix.
