Per bug 1435365, it sounds like this could be retired. Probably the good place to start is just disabling the schedule on the hook and wait a few days to see what happens.
I don't think 1435365 is the right bug?
No, and now I've forgotten which is.. but Rob mentioned it's no longer necessary.
