Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0
Steps to reproduce:
Clicked on hyperlink in messages.
Clicked on Help in Main menu.
Actual results:
TB did not open Firefox if FF was closed.
TB did not connect to hyperlink.
Expected results:
Firefox should have opened and/or connected to link.
Tried the following steps:
Verified that FF is the default browser
Checked network.protocol-handler.warn-external preferences with config editor. -default was already set to true. .ftp, .http, and https were set to false: i toggled them and set them to true.
Opened TB with add-ons disabled (safe mode0 with no change in performance.
Downloaded and installed a new version of TB with no change in performance.
Friday morning (next day after issue arose, the problem is gone. Hyperlinks within email messages now open Firefox and connect. No changes were made since the problem was posted yesterday.
Can;t explain why it began or why it ended, but the issue is resolved for now. If it reoccurs, I will post and submit once again.
