Why do comment headers shrink when scrolling down? The background is shining through.

It drives my crazy for some weeks now. :D
At first I wanted to file a WebRender bug about it. It looks dirty.

I don’t think this a bug in Bugzilla itself. Moving to the right component for triaging.

Component: User Interface → Graphics
Product: bugzilla.mozilla.org → Core
Version: Staging → unspecified

But it is reproducible with Chrome as well...

Component: Graphics → User Interface
OS: Unspecified → All
Product: Core → bugzilla.mozilla.org
Hardware: Unspecified → All
Version: unspecified → Production

It might be an optical illusion: Maybe the space the background is shining through is always the same height, but looks larger when the background becomes darker.

padding-bottom: 1px; of .comment
and
margin: 1px 0 0 0; of .comment-text
are causing this. If you uncheck both, things look consistent.
Or was it intentional that the background is shining through this way?

Blocks: bmo-markdown
Component: User Interface → User Interface: Modal
Depends on: bmo-jedi-theme

Solved in Bug 1377977.
