I don't have more detail, since the error console is busted.

Could this be a follow-up issue of bug 1519653? With a build from pre richlistbox de-XBL (3. January) it works.

Hmm, the other Calender preferences are also pretty broken:
Views has broken Day starts/ends at pulldowns and I also get:
JavaScript error: chrome://messenger/content/preferences/preferences.xml, line 384: uncaught exception: 2147942487
Which is:
Value 0x80070057 (2147942487)
Name NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE
Maybe that's a richlist issue?

Yes, my patch in bug 1519653 fixes this.
