• Nightly 67.0a1 (20190215095516)
• Firefox 66.0b8 build1 (20190214195736)
• Firefox 65.0.1 build2 (20190211233335)

Prerequisites

• Have at least one bookmark saved on Safari.

Affected platforms

• macOS 10.14.3

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Firefox and open Library.
2. Click "Import and Backup" and select "Import Data from Another Browser…" .
3. Select Safari from the available browsers and click the Continue button.
4. Make sure that the Bookmarks option is checked in the "Items to import" window and click the Continue button.
5. Click Done and inspect the Library after the import is completed.

Expected result

• All the bookmarks from the selected browser are imported.

Actual result

• No bookmarks are imported.
• The following error is listed in Browser Console: “Could not read Bookmarks.plist SafariProfileMigrator.js:33”

Regression range

• This is not a recent regression as the issue is reproducible all the way back to 59.0a1 (2018-01-01).
• I will provide additional information as soon as possible.

This broke I think back around Firefox 53 as well, Bug 1353041. Also should this bug be moved to Firefox | Migration?

Is macOS 10.13 or earlier not affected, given comment #0 says this happens on 10.14 and claims this has been broken for a long time (but apparently without reports) ?

Removing the ni? from Iulia since this is no longer required, as things sorted out in the meantime.
