Steps to reproduce:

send mail
receive mail (with sound notification on)
trying to debug by going to add-ons, debug console debug
this is present in release versions + latest beta version

Actual results:

crash constant (can only avoid it by going to safe mode).

btw driver is the LATEST 1.1.17 from asus. clean install everything was perfect before install of this new sound card.

Expected results:

should not crash .)

Hello Wayne,

No no at first i had the usual "play default sound" in settings. I then removed that check and removing it made it so i could RECEIVE mail, but it still crashes when the mail is sent. :(

Are those your earliest crash reports, and if not can you post the oldest please?

Also, do you have a sense of what changed that may have started the crashes - a driver update, or a Thunderbird update?

hello mate :)

alright, so the issue started and is in direct relation to my new USB sound card the asus Xonar U7 MKII

the moment i installed that card these crashes started. It's only been a few days (not sure why the crash log shows an earler date). I'll link all the crash reports i can.

are all the crash reports since i installed the new sound card.. unfortunately its the latest driver version of this sound card (clean install).

hello wayne

ok so i downloaded it and installed, then i manually setup 1 account for mail and did some test both sending and receiving and so far no crash. in fact it also makes the default audio notifications when i send/receive mail....

so with that in mind.. whats different in the daily thats not in the beta ? or maybe what can i try/do to maybe copy over settings etc ...
