To do anything with this we'd need more details about your environment and what you are doing.
A starting point is https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems (of course, ignore the Windows-related items)
I use the last version of thunderbird (60.5.3.).
Mac osx 10.13.6 with mac book air 2017
8 gb ram
I using thunderbird, safari and some other programs in the meantime
There isn't a particular operation that creates the problem.
At random times, thunderbird stops working, the system hourglass appears and I must stop thunderbird with the Finder.
In the report the message is:
Timeline format: stacks are sorted chronologically
Use -i and -heavy to re-report with count sorting

(The large font was because of the dashes)
Do you have plans to go to 10.14?
Does the problem reproduce with newer version 60.6.1?

You say this random, so it is not associated with sending messages?
