User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0

Steps to reproduce:

In Blogs & News Feeds section open a post to see full post. When done click on "Delete" button to delete the post and move to the next. This no longer works as of 66.0b2 (64-bit) on Windows 10.

Screen shot of error console with errors expanded attached.

Actual results:

Post is marked as "read" as expected, but it is not deleted.

Expected results:

Post should have been deleted and next post loaded

Are you opening the post in a new tab or new window?

I can reproduce opening the post in a new tab.

Post deleted and next post opened works for me if I open the the post in a new window.

This was from within a new tab. As you mentioned if I open the post in a new window the delete button works as expected. Sorry, should have mentioned that or at least included a screen shot.

Is this a regression? (i.e. it works in an earlier version?)

Summary: Delete button in Blogs & News Feeds broken → Delete button in Blogs & News Feeds doesn't work if opened in tab

Yes, this is a regression. It used to work, and then after either the last update or the one right before it (I forget exactly which update, but it started a month or so ago) it stopped working.

This appears fixed by bug 1518823 in the recent release of Thunderbird 68.0b1 according to the release notes.

Yes, I updated to 68.0b1 and tested things out and it is working again. Thanks to those who worked on this issue!
