Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020529
BuildID: 2002052917
Mozilla ask me what to do with the file i want to "download" when i drag a
simple-text file(in the local hard drive) into the navigator window.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open navigator
2.drag a simple-text file or something like that(don't drag pictures or URLs
which mozilla do know what to do with)
3.the unexpected dialog box appears
Actual Results: The unexpected dialog box which should only appear when i
choose to download file(s) from the web appears.
Expected Results: Do not display this dialog box.
Mozilla should have either display the file content though may lose some of its
formats or ask me to use which plug-in to view this file or just tell me that
this file is not able to be viewed by mozilla.
Confirmed using Mac/2002080208/9.2.2. Dragging a newly-saved SimpleText document to a Mozilla
window resulted in a dialog asking me how I wanted to handle what Mozilla thought was an "Excel Web
Query" [application/vnd.ms-excel] file, which is obviously wrong.
Reassigning to File Handling.

Okay, not entirely a dup. Bug 45441 probably covers the root problem, but is
specifically about HTML files displaying as text. For some reason, Simpletext
text files (TEXT/ttxt) result in a dialog, while Mozilla (TEXT/MOZZ) and BBEdit
(TEXT/R*ch) text files display as text.

I don't see this problem on Mac OS 10.2.5 ; Mozilla just opens the textfile that
I drag into the window. Since Mac OS 8.5 isn't supported anymore, should we
close this as a wontfix ?

I can reproduce on 10.2 with Mozilla 1.4.
With either a SimpleText (ttxt) or BBEdit file (R*ch) the dialog will appear if
the file has no extension, but not appear if the file has the extension '.txt'
Suggest dupe of 45441?

Actually, no its not a dupe, but it does require there be no .txt extension.
