- Start a new bug, e.g. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?form_name=enter_bug&product=Firefox
- Set the type to "task"
- Select a component, e.g. "Search"
=> Notice that type is reset to "defect"
- Reset the type to "task"
- Select a different component
=> Type is reset to "defect" again
- Reset the type to "task"
- Select "Remember values as bookmarkable template"
- Click the link it generates
=> Type is back at "task" (though the URL does have &bug_type=task)

Similar to Bug 1453605. This happens because the default value of several fields is component specific. Will try to work around.
