Details
- Description:
I understand this is supposed to be added at later stage but still would like raise this bug now as it blocks my usual localization process.
Sometimes we switch sentence order from English, causing some punctual marks moved to the beginning/end of string, or having fewer sentences in the translation, and that makes translation fails from translation checks. These false negatives should be ignored by translator.
-
Steps to reproduce:
- Open any project on Pontoon Next
- Submit some translation that fail translation checks, for example
*fail* test translation
or「test」translation
- Expected:
- It is possible to override the translation check and the form submits
- Actual:
- There is no notification indicates this submission failed translation checks
- POST responded failure such as
{"failedChecks": {"ttWarnings": ["Starting punctuation"]}}
- It submits correctly after disabling translation check

I believe we should handle this as part of bug 1518820 which will add full support for checks.
Displaying and being able to ignore checks is vital part of the translation workbench, so I'm taking bug 1518820 now.
