From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.1a+) Gecko/20020622 BuildID: 2002062208 When I browse this page: http://www.humanforsale.com/default.asp I get tons of popups, when I DO NOT have Mozilla configured to allow unsolicited windows to popup and appear. This Mozilla feature DOES work on a LOT of sites, but not the one above. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Configure Mozilla to NOT allow unsolicited windows from scripts in the Advance "Scripts & Windows" configuration area 2.Go to: http://www.humanforsale.com/default.asp 3.Popups should appear when they should not. Actual Results: Popups appear unexpectedly. Expected Results: Popups on this page should NOT appear.

reproduced on win2k sp2 mozilla 1.1a build 2002061104 for the url mentioned in the bug one of the important reasons why i use mozilla is to suppress pop-up. this is a disaster for me. if web developers learn of this hole, pops will rule once again. This bug should be classified as critcal!

WFM in 2002062308 PC/Win98. Reporter, if you try the page with a new profile, does the problem persist?

I STILL get this behavior w/ the 2002062608 Win32 build running on Windows NT 4.0 SP6. I created a *NEW* profile and configured the "Scripts and Windows" settings the same as my regular profile and I STILL get this behavior (the popups STILL popup). I've attached a screen shot of my settings. Peace.... Tom

I reported a flase problem where I could NOT access http://www.ferrari.com since the MAIN PAGE appeared in a popup and my current settings prevented that popup from appearing. So, I don't know why these popups are appearing. Peace.... Tom

I'm not getting popups on the the Human for Sale page, but I am getting them again on Linux Games http://www.linuxgames.com . They just recently started showing up again. I saw it on another site too. Have the ad companies already figured out a way to work around this? This is with Mozilla 1.0 in Linux.

Linuxgames is bug 153778, which is a dup of bug 126224. I can't reproduce at humanforsale, but it uses the same ad provider as Linuxgames (mediamgr.ugo.com), so I bet it's the same code. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 126224 ***

I don't believe that this bug is resolved. Bug 126244 was marked as fixed in March! How can it be fixed if I'm having this problem with Mozilla 1.0 which was released in June?

Sorry about the typo. I meant to type bug 126224 in my previous message.

I reported the popups at linuxgames as well, but at the .org version (the typical cybersquatting search engine), and not the real .com version. I didn't see this bug report in my search because it was so old. This problem has been around for a while, and as of last week, linuxgames.org doesn't have popups anymore. This is due to a change at the site, not to a change in Mozilla. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259722
