Prerequisites:
- Have one extension and one theme installed.
- Make sure the ‘Recent Updates’ tab is displayed in about:addons by selecting the ‘View Recent Updates’ option from the Cogwheel menu in any of the ‘Extensions’, ‘Themes’ or ‘Plugins’ tabs.
Description:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons of any extension or theme, from the list view of the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, will not register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab. The issue occurs for both Normal and Private browsing, on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Steps to reproduce:
- In the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, click on the ‘Remove’ button from the installed extension and theme
- In the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, click on the ‘Undo’ button from the recently uninstalled addons
- Go to about:telemetry and check if the following events are registered object: aboutAddons / extra: action - uninstall/undo
Expected:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons in the ‘Recent Updates’ tab should properly register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab.
Actual:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons in the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, will not register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab.
