Prerequisites:

  • Have one extension and one theme installed.
  • Make sure the ‘Recent Updates’ tab is displayed in about:addons by selecting the ‘View Recent Updates’ option from the Cogwheel menu in any of the ‘Extensions’, ‘Themes’ or ‘Plugins’ tabs.

Description:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons of any extension or theme, from the list view of the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, will not register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab. The issue occurs for both Normal and Private browsing, on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, click on the ‘Remove’ button from the installed extension and theme
  2. In the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, click on the ‘Undo’ button from the recently uninstalled addons
  3. Go to about:telemetry and check if the following events are registered object: aboutAddons / extra: action - uninstall/undo

Expected:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons in the ‘Recent Updates’ tab should properly register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab.

Actual:
Clicking the ‘Remove’ and ‘Undo’ buttons in the ‘Recent Updates’ tab, will not register the corresponding events in about:telemetry#events-tab.

WONTFIX pending changes to about:addons.
