User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Added a new event in the default Home calendar with more than one Category (Anniversary, Birthday, for example) -- this will display "Multiple Categories" in the Category and has a blue color when added to the calendar.
  • Visited Preferences -> Calendar -> Categories -- "Multiple Categories" is not listed there.

Actual results:

Nothing.

Expected results:

It should be possible to customize the color for "Multiple Categories".

Severity: normal → trivial

Hi David,

It appears you are using the Lightning extension without category colors.

Check Edit > Preferences > Calendar > Categories.

When a category is selected it is only shown as a small colored bar in the event which has the solid color of the calendar.

I created this test event to show you how it would look if you did have category colors.

Hi David,

It appears you are using the Lightning extension without category colors.

That makes sense, I just tried your solution and can confirm that you are right.

I think the "Multiple Categories" category color should be either black (000000) or white (ffffff) since neither of them is occupied, because it's confusing that it has the same color as the color of the first alphabetically selected category.

I think grey (808080) is the best "Multiple Categories" category color: Grey a neutral color, it is the intermediate color between black and white.

Summary: Add Multiple Categories to Preferences -> Calendar -> Categories → Add "Multiple Categories" (with grey hex triplet color: 808080) to Preferences -> Calendar -> Categories
Severity: trivial → normal
