User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:66.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/66.0
Steps to reproduce:
Sometime between TC Version 45.8.0 and TB Version 60.5.3, typing 2 spaces between words adds a character (appearing as a capital A with a hot that appears as a Question Mark in the received E Mail) in the outgoing message source when I am in the HTML authoring mode. Adding 3 spaces results in 2 capital A with hats that appear as 2 Question Marks in the received E Mail. Etc with 4 spaces, 5 spaces ...
Actual results:
If I type the following in an E Mail - -
QUESTION MARK TEST TEXT
(Created in a plain-text editor)
TEST:(This time TEST: is followed by no space.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by one space.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by two spaces.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by three spaces.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by four spaces.)
The outgoing message source has added characters (appearing as a capital A with a hat) after every additional space that appear as Question Marks in the received E Mail
QUESTION MARK TEST TEXT
(Created in a plain-text editor)
TEST:(This time TEST: is followed by no space.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by one space.)
TEST:Â (This time TEST: is followed by two spaces.)
TEST:Â Â (This time TEST: is followed by three spaces.)
TEST:Â Â Â (This time TEST: is followed by four spaces.)
The incoming message looks like this:
QUESTION MARK TEST TEXT
(Created in a plain-text editor)
TEST:(This time TEST: is followed by no space.)
TEST: (This time TEST: is followed by one space.)
TEST:?? (This time TEST: is followed by two spaces.)
TEST:???? (This time TEST: is followed by three spaces.)
TEST:?????? (This time TEST: is followed by four spaces.)
Expected results:
The spaces should be correctly rendered as spaces, not Question Marks. If I go into TB's plain text mode, this does not happen.

Sure, the Yahoo and Verizon boys have found anther victim. They actually actively corrupt their users' e-mail. See bug 1435903.
I see, but, my outgoing message from TB is wrong to start with even before it gets to Verizon. Yes I and my friends with the same problem are all on VERIZON. Some use Macs, I use Windows 7 and 10. Ken

I don't think so. Your outgoing message will be totally fine in the Sent folder. Over in the other bug there are some workarounds in the user story.
