Would also be awesome to be able to use a public calendar as data source only and have thunderbird filter out relevant stuff

There's to many calendars I need to follow that have non-relevant data which could easily be filtered out. In a perfect world the data would be perfect, but since it's not, being able to clean it up automatically would be very nice. One case (of mine) is for junior socker team calendars: they have one calendar for the whole team since some events are for all - but then the 5-6 groups within the team should only attend a subset of the events.

Filtering should be possible to set up on properties like words in title, category, description.
