Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1210157
  2. Open People section of the bug unless already opened
  3. Click the blue link altblitz to open a context menu
  4. Middle-click Activity button

Actual results:

A new tab should be opened

Expected results:

"Nightly prevented this site from opening a popup window."

Bug 1004633 and bug 1491842 apparently have different causes, so I don't know what this is a duplicate of.

Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Untriaged → User events and focus handling
Ever confirmed: true
Keywords: dupeme
Product: Firefox → Core
See Also: → 1004633, 1491842
Priority: -- → P3

I found some other cases:

  1. Access https://duckduckgo.com/?q=mozilla&t=h_&ia=web
  2. Middle-click the description (not the URL) of the first item

Or:

  1. Access your myworkday account
  2. Click the top-right cloud icon
  3. Middle-click "Home" button in the menu

Both invokes popup blocker on Firefox but not on Chrome.

I believe this is a duplicate
