Reproduction:

  • Reply to a message
  • Type your reply into the body
  • Change the To: address
  • In the From dropdown, select "Customize From Address..."
  • Change your email address to another one, e.g. "you+test@gmail.com"
  • Click Send button

Actual result:
Nothing happens. The click on the Send button is registered, but has no result

Expected result:
The message is sent, with the given address as "From:".

Reproduction note:
This happens every time I write a real email to a company. It does not happen when I try to reproduce the above steps using a bug tracker email. I have not yet figured out what the difference is.

Implementation note:
This might be a DUP of bug 1518823.

Yes, it seems time related. It might actually be caused by bug 1518823. Not sure yet.
