User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/74.0.3729.169 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
When writing a message, when you click on the paperclip to attach, a file manager window opens and you must then search for your attachment.
Actual results:
it works fine, this is a feature enhancement request
Expected results:
By comparison, in Outlook, when you click on the attach icon it opens a list of the 10 or so files that have most recently been accessed on the PC, with the thought in mind that those are the most likely ones you would want to attach. At the bottom of the list is a Browse PC icon. The file you want is not always in the 10-item list, but when it is, it is a time saver. It would be nice if Thunderbird worked this way. In Win 7 this was easy because the right click jump menus used to allow dragging from the jump list to another application. Unfortunately win10 does not support that time-saving feature so I was hoping Thunderbird could help out.

Here's what it looks like in Outlook.
The 10 last used files are shown, with a link at the bottom to open the normal file browse window.
