I do not want to have toolbar bookmarks; I don't feel that there are any links
important enough to merit a button in my browser.

Chimera insists on creating a 'Toolbar Bookmarks' folder in my bookmarks that it
will not allow me to delete; if I delete it by manually editing the
bookmarks.xml, it creates a new one.

you can hide the personal toolbar, but deleting the folder is another issue

Why not change the icon of the folder into a little bar or something so that
users know that it is a permanent part of the browser and not a folder just like
any others.

I know some browsers (IE) do let you delete their toolbar folder, and then you
have to manually create a folder with the exact same name or drag and drop
somehting onto the toolbar to use it again, which I think is silly.

Hiding should be sufficient.  I'm just ecstatic Chimera doesn't insist on
creating an IE Favorites folder for me every damn time I start up like Mozilla does.

Visually differentiating the the Personal Toolbar folder from a 'regular' folder
would be an RFE but what would an icon for an undeletable folder look like?  A
lock wouldn't do as it is editable.

BTW, we should get the original artwork for the icons (PhotoShop files etc)
checked into the tree.

My suggestion for an icon was just to have a mini toolbar, say a 1x2 rectangle,
with one or one and a half bookmarks (text too small to read of course) and
fading out on the right side. This makes it very visually clear what happens to
bookmarks you put there, and it makes sense that you can't delete it.

Hmm, funky. It's a TIFF file. Photoshop, Preview and GraphicConverter all open
it fine on my end. I saved it exactly the same way I saved the one attached to
bug 158154, and you apparently got that one to open.
