+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1552138 +++
Bug 1495363 fixed a regression in 66 and was uplifted in 65 but it caused bug 1542912 (with bug 1529846 and bug 1528457 as duplicates) which is a worse regression than the one it fixed.
We backed it out in our prerelease channels in bug#1552138 and no new regession from this backout surfaced so now is time to back it out in mozilla-release for our upcoming 67.0.2 release.
