Steps to reproduce:

Using Thunderbird 60.7.1 (64-Bit), I'd like to use an external password-manager like KeePass / KeePassXC to unlock my mail accounts.

Actual results:

Due to the fact, that the window requesting the password has a title like "Please enter password ..." (I have a non English version here), Password-Manager has no chance to pick to correct password if you have multiple accounts.
The related Account like UserName@Domain.TLD is shown down below in that window requesting the password.

Expected results:

Mail-Account's name like UserName@Domain.TLD should be shown in the title of the window requesting the password.

Type: defect → enhancement
Component: Untriaged → Security

Seems like a reasonable request to me. I think "account manager" is a better match for the component.

Component: Security → Account Manager
Summary: Allow external Password Managers for Mail Account → Include email address in password prompt to enable external Password Managers
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Summary: Include email address in password prompt to enable external Password Managers → Include email address in password prompt to support external Password Managers

And we recently had a user ask in SUMO whether lastpass integration existed.

My request has a considerable age by now, I still would still be very happy about a realization! Thank you.

Severity: normal → S3
