Brief description of the request: Since around May 22nd of 2019, week 1 retention for desktop has been climbing.

Some investigation so far:

  • The profile-per-install change appears to explain some but not all of the effect

  • We see a corresponding dip in new profile creation rate, suggesting that a decrease in creation of low-retention profiles may be invovled
