OK using current branch build... trunk has also a reported focus problem (regression) for quicksearch -- see bug 156368.
Confirming on linux 2002070822 and 2002071000 (both trunk). 2002070722 linux build does not exhibit this bug.

Pressing "n" does work, however, when a link in the body of the message has focus (f.e. when you tab onto a link in a Bugzilla notification email).

Build 20020717 has this bug repaired. All short cut and menu items are working as expected.
2002071808 will skip to next with the message body selected and N key pressed.
wfm linux trunk cvs 2002-07-19. Looks like this was fixed by the second patch to bug 156368. Marking wfm per reporter's comment 6.
