User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
Connect to FTP server that requires auth, login with invalid credentials
(Not sharing example server for legality reasons )
Enter ftp://ftpserver in address bar
- On password prompt dialog, enter anonymous login
Actual results:
FTP Server gave Reply: 530 Not logged in, no ANONYMOUS access allowed.
Firefox offers to save the entered password, but stays on the previous page and does not show any error status message .
Expected results:
Firefox shows error message dialog reporting "login incorrect" or something like that
I believe this was how it worked pre-Quantum, if I remember correctly
