Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0
Steps to reproduce:
macOS 10.15 Catalina can now automatically switch between Light and Dark mode, based on sunrise/sunset. Apps like "Night Owl" that were used for such behaviour under Mojave are now longer required.
- Update to macOS 10.15 Catalina (developer beta 3), set light/dark appearance to automatic
- Wait for sunrise/sunset
Actual results:
Firefox stays light or dark based on it's previous appearance and does not change. Not entirely sure if it always happens but for example if you go to sleep at night, Firefox and macOS are dark, you wake up after sunrise, open the mac, the appearance is now light, but Firefox remains dark.
Workaround: manually click on Light or Dark, check if Firefox's theme is now correct, switch back to Automatic.
Expected results:
Firefox should also follow the system's appearance.

Duping to Bug 1558086, which seems to be the same issue and was filed earlier.
