I have used many Netscape products and Netsonic 2.5 worked with them.
I am using Mozilla now and Netsonic won't cache any pages while Mozilla
is loaded. I use Netsonic since I can dowload at least 3 depths of
directories and get all the graphics and html files. It is like a partial
leech. I would love to use Mozilla and Netsonic and get more
enjoyment out of browsing the web.
No other browser was opened while I used Mozilla. No crash errors or
any symptoms are shown.
Is there anything in Mozilla that is different from the NS 4.x browsers' caching
scheme? I am also writing to the makers of Netsonic
to report the same problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Verify Mozilla quick loader is not activated
2.Verify Mozilla is not loaded.
3.Load Netsonic 2.5
4.Load Mozilla
5.Use any known website, reload page
verify netsonics web counter starts at 0 and counts upwards according
to the number of pages to be cached.
Verify counter does count and doesn't sit and the maximum page count
number. Verify it says reloading complete (most recent x out of x).
Actual Results: No activity indicators in Netsonic changed.
The last cached paged still showed on the activity indicator.
Expected Results: Most recent (x out of x) never changed.
No reload confirmation happened.
Page did not reload and the activity counter never counted.
The page being viewed showed immediately and if it was reloaded and
cached for the first time..it wouldn't show up very quickly for pages
that have the (Most recent 1 out of 33). It was using its cached version instead.
