User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
use global search (from edit menu item)
Actual results:
list of found emails is displayed
Expected results:
It would be nice to have a message window below it, which can display the message which is highlighted/selected in the search results.
That is normal display mode in 3 pane window for messages in the list of a folder. It would big time help to find the exact message that I am searching if there are many search results.

I should like to raise this again, if that is permitted, 5 years on.
With many results, to search requires DC for a new tab, read, and then close to check every one of potential interest. This is slow, to say the least. In some search engines a preview shows the first hit for the highlightted item in a small pane.
To implement this as a third (bottom) section of the Search Messages (ctrl-shift-F) window would offer an enormous advantage and make searches a lot more efficient and effective, not just 'nice' .
