This bug is EXTREMELY broad -- you don't mention your operating system, the
version of Mozilla that you're using, don't mention any sites where this problem
can be confirmed...
Marking this as INVALID.
If you can provide the requested information and possibly some screenshots, feel
free to reopen the bug.

Both images that you provided don't work. Mozilla gives a "cannot open it
because this image contains errors" message, while Konqueror displays both as
being size 0x0.

No, same problem.
You are possibly using an image editor that generates faulty files.

I see what you are talking about.
Have you tried temporarily switching back to the standard theme?

tried to change theme: no effect
changing theme back to 'orbit' solved the problem (well, at least it seem so:
the images are displayed correctly)
how did you manage to post the png?

I have no other suggestions, then, especially since I don't see that matrix of
cell phones on the homepage -- I just see a blank space there.
For reference, I am running Linux 2.4.18, KDE 3.0.0-10 set to CDE behavior and
1024x768 resolution.
I didn't have to do anything special to get the image uploaded: when I received
it in my e-mail, it rendered correctly in Mozilla Mail, so I saved it and
uploaded it with file type set to auto-detect.
I hope that someone else will pick up this bug and diagnose the problem.
(trying to post this again after a mid-air collision)
