15699 - [PP] Linux - Drop-down lists not updated after changing value

Selecting an item from a drop down box (select/option tags) does not change the
value (visibly) of that item.  It may actually change the item, but does not
reflect the valuel.

(I had to select them using the keyboard to fill out this bug report)

To clarify, this happens to me on build 1999100518.

So far I have only tried it with kwm, although I doubt it is a window manager
issue.  I am using a GTK+ theme (ThinIce), but that has not caused problems
before.

Local gtk/glib are versions 1.2.5

Please tell me if you need more information.

Also, if the drop down box has a scroll bar, and I click on it to scroll, the
dropdown box closes (ungrabbing widget shows in console) and it doesn't do any
scrolling.  I'll check the latest build now and report back.

[...] I said I'd report back when I got the new build.  Well, I got last night's
build (oct 8, 1999), and the same drop-down box problem happens.  I did a little
testing though..

so..

I went to search.yahoo.com, happy to see a drop down box.  So, I selected that
I wanted to return only 10 matches from the drop down box, instead of twenty.
After doing this, the box still displayed 20.  Next I searched for something
that would give me more than 10 hits.  So I chose something popular.  "Linux"

That gave me tons of hits.

But.. it only showed 10!  So, the major problem here appears to be that it does
not update the widget after it changes the value it represents.

Yes, this looks familiar, not a regression.

This is a Linux specific rollup bug.  Pavlov fixed it a few days back.  Let me
look up the bug number...
