In bug 1568820 we added a pref for making the lock icon grey by default. After some consideration and talking to stakeholders we want to try using this as the default, starting from Firefox 70. We should enable this in Nightly quickly to get some feedback out of the 70 Nightly cycle.

Yes, please! :) But a green EV bar with a grey padlock doesn't look consistent: Could you enable bug 1572389 as well?

Confirming this issue as verified fixed on 70.0a1 (2019-08-19) with Windows 10x64 , Ubuntu 18.04 and macOS 10.14.6.
