Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1a+) Gecko/20020714
BuildID: 2002071408
If multiple SMTP servers are set up through the Advanced SMTP settings, and I
edit any of the settings for any of the SMTP servers, the "Okay" button on the
main Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings windows becomes unusable. Clicking on
it does nothing, and I am forced to click "Cancel" or close the windows. It
appears that changes made are saved nonetheless.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go into Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
2. Under Outgoing Server, click Advanced
3. Add a second SMTP server, or delete/edit existing ones, if there are already
multiple servers.
4. Click Okay under the Advanced settings.
5. Click Okay on the main Mail settings window
Actual Results: Nothing happens when Okay is clicked. Either Cancel must be
clicked, or the window must be closed. However, changes are still saved.
Expected Results: Okay should close the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
window and save changes.
Using the Modern theme, under Windows XP Professional. The bug is consistently
reproduceable, I have yet to have anything different happen.
not only can't i click ok, i can't seem to change servers:-( so i tried
deleting all but the one i wanted (the scroll window displays multiple copies of
the smae servers, btw)-: and now it wants to connect to server "%s"
i'm running mozilla 1.1a on mac os10.1.5
I also have that problem with it not actually being able to send mail when
multiple SMTP servers are configured. I don't know if it is related to this bug
or not though.
The exact error message, after clicking "Send" is: "Sending of message failed.
An error ocurred sending mail: Unable to connect to SMTP server %S. The mail
server may be down or may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that your
Mail/News account settings are correct and try again."
similar/dup: bug 150471
resolving as dup of bug 150471. It seems any attempt to modify advanced setting
will make the OK button go numb. It doesn't seem to depend on multiple SMTP
servers being present
