Since we put this UI together from some sketches and prior art, lets have a lightweight UX review to polish the design aspects before launch.

Victoria, could you please check the UI aspects for editor mode, especially 1) inline input button to trigger editor mode and 2) editor mode toolbar.

Starting with some basics I noticed:
One aspect I noticed that the inline editor button is to 50% in the area that also resizes the window. Some right-padding would help with that.
The solid color of the toolbar buttons have different heights compared to the clear-console icon right next to the toolbar. This affects the Run button most, as it has a visible button styling with solid background.
The gutter with 4 character width is excessively wide.

One thing we got feedback on is that "Editor" is misleading, so we should find a better name (multi-line input?)

Ah, I started giving general UI comments in the github issue re: run button, etc.
"Editor" wording - I can see how that's confusing. I do like "multi-line input."
More right-margin for button: Agreed, we could try lining it up with the toolbox close button.

The confusion I saw in tweet responses felt like it stemmed from the combo "open" + "editor".
Maybe "Switch to multi-line editor mode", cal clarify this by a) using switch and mode as better verb and subject and b) adding multi-line to clarify benefit.

Is there any other follow-up needed here or can this be closed? Looks like everything in https://github.com/firefox-devtools/ux/issues/85 happened.

I think this can be closed. Thanks!
