RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1472757

Details

About in the last 15-20 minutes, I tried to file a bugzilla entry with
"Icons in the bookmark toolbar become incorrect randomly sometimes. "

However, the post takes a long time, essentially hung.
I tried to backtrack to the submission page.
Well, I could, sort of.

Component, version, type, platform, and summary are intact.
HOWEVER, the comment and attachment field are now empty :-(

I have to retype the comment again. Grr...

I really wish that comment field remains intact just other fields do.

Actually something like this error happened about 12 days ago.
In both cases, I tried to PASTE the attachment instead of specifying a file:

  • I tried to paste rather largish text into attachment area 12 days ago.
  • in the today's attempt, I tried to copy&paste an image.

Today's hung shows a "something went very wrong (server error)" message before I could reach the original submission page before I hit [submit Bug].
I can't recall what the problem was 12 days ago, but I think the slow or non-responsive post seemed to be the same back then.

I suspect there is a bug in the attachment handling code somewhere.

TIA

I am fairly certain now that the pasting data into the attachment field instead of using a link to a file that contains the attachment
is causing a very long time to operate and results in some type of server failure.
(I just tried to add a first attachment to Bug 1574789
But it did not return. So I have to abort it.
Now in this case, the description to the attachment remains intact, BUT the attachment itself is gone :-(
Grr...
