The main window resizes (shrinks) on restart when the titlebar is hidden.
On each restart the window is a few pixels smaller than before.
This is on Linux, both i686 and x86_64.
I've seen something like this on Windows too, there the window grows.

I thought Thunderbird drew it's tabs in the title bar after V17. Is this another of those Linux vagarities?

Michel, do you still see this when using newer version?

Flags: needinfo?(dillinger)

Yes, it still happens, on each restart the window shrinks by 4px in each direction.
Set your start page to https://browsersize.com/ and you'll see it.
I've tested it now with 68.5.0 and 73.0b2 on Linux, usually I don't see it since I've set a minimum size in userChrome.css.

Not seeing any problem using 68.5.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS.

Window remains the same size according to browsersize.com as the start page.

Does this still reproduce?

Flags: needinfo?(dillinger)

Yes, it still reproduces, but only on Slackware 14.2, not on KDE neon, a Ubuntu based distribution.
Possibly GTK+ related, Slackware 14.2 uses GTK+ 3.18, KDE neon 5.22 uses GTK+ 3.24.

Michel,
Does this reproduce with a newer version? 115?

Flags: needinfo?(dillinger)

No, but I don't have Slackware 14.2 any more.
I can't reproduce it on KDE neon 5.27 or Salix Xfce 15.0.
I guess it was a problem with Slackware 14.2.

Thanks for the update.
