Hi Sergio,

Thanks for reporting this bug.

I tried testing it on my end, using Linux Ubuntu 18.04.2, Firefox Release version 69.0 and Firefox Nightly version 71.0a1 (2019-09-11), with and without the browser's default theme (toggling between Default, Light and Dark themes), and I was unable to reproduce the behavior described in the screenshots.
I also tried changing Ubuntu's theme for a dark one to see if this may have any impact on Firefox, but I didn't reproduce the issue. Are you using any specific Firefox theme? or a specific theme for your Linux version?

Please test if your issue is reproducible on the latest Nightly version, you can download it from here https://nightly.mozilla.org/.

Also, let us know if the issue is reproducible with a new profile, you have the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

If there is any other info you can provide to help us figure out how we can reproduce the issue please share them.

Regards,

browser.in-content.dark-mode=true has nothing common with themes. Have you set browser.in-content.dark-mode to true in about:config?

Hi Sergio,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I did, on both Release and Nightly versions, but I'm still unable to reproduce the issue as per the screenshots. Can you please confirm that you are able to reproduce this issue on Nightly and by using a fresh profile?

Thanks!

All tests were done on clean profile.

about:config looks good in Nightly (but it's different), about:credits looks bad same way.

Hi Sergio,

Thanks for confirming.

I'll add a product and a component so the corresponding team can take a look at this. If you consider this is not the right component, feel free to change it.

Cheers,

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

While about:credits looks fine under windows 10, about:config has the same issue. So only one part of this bug is gtk related.
I'll close it and open two separare issues.
