Steps to reproduce:

Update previous beta version of Thunderbird

Actual results:

Thunderbird screen vertical limited to 85% of normal

Expected results:

Screen should by 100% of normal. Vertical size should also be adjustable by hovering cursor over bottom line, and then left click.

Good catch - I thought that row was part of some other window. First item looks RSS related, last one is Calendar, can't make out the middle one. Almost certainly an addon

Added note of symptoms:
In Reply and Send modes, the screen has normal vertical dimensions ("<toolbarbutton"-labeled mauve-colored band disappears).

Please switch off all add-ons and try again. See Help menu.

Defect resolved.
Uninstalled Version 70.0b1 and two older versions resident in Programs and Features.
Rebooted PC and then reinstalled Version 70.0b1. Initial screen was normal.
Indeed, let's just chalk it up to a TB program/software conflict anomaly.
