Two things:
We're not fixing any bugs in TB 60.x any more since we have released the new version TB 68.x, currently at TB 68.1.
I guess you're using Gmail? I guess custom Sent folders don't work for Gmail. We've just currently fixed custom Trash folder for Gmail, see bug 1175446. That you're using a Mac is not relevant, I believe.
Gene, do you know more?

Works for me on mac and linux with 60.9. and 60.8 respectively.
The setting sticks after tb restart. Also works on gmail on linux (don't have gmail setup on macbook air).
Note: If message sent via gmail smtp on same gmail account, google automatically puts the sent mail in [Gmail]/Sent Mail folder. If you choose another sent mail destination folder you will see the sent mail in [Gmail]/Sent Mail and in the other folder. Other smtp/imap servers don't do this.
Also tested on yesterday's trunk build on linux. Works correctly.
Reporter, if still not working as you expect, please provide more details regarding your setup. Thanks.

Have attached a document explaining the issue, The issue is with IMAP server, There is a IMAP folder named "Sent Items" present on the IMAP Server, I was trying to configure that folder for sent items instead of the default "Sent" folder (local folder). This was working fine when I was using TB on Windows.
Now, on MAC, after TB restart, The configured folder "Sent Items" became default "Sent" again.
