Affected versions:
Nightly 71.0a1 (2019-09-17) (64-bit)
Affected platforms:
Windows 7/10
Steps to reproduce:
- Launch Nightly
- Go to Amazon Prime and log in
- Play a video from prime video
- Toggle video into PiP window
- Close the video from the main window, "X" button
Expected result:
The amazon video player is closed and PiP window is closed as well
Actual Result:
The amazon prime video main page is displayed while the PiP window remains frozen with a white frame
Note:
Given that the fix for Amazon Prime toggle availability is not uplifted in Beta, this issue can't be reproduced there.

Speaking with astevenson, we think the simplest solution is probably the best for now - we'll close the PiP player window iff the <video> being displayed is ever removed from the DOM. That will happen in bug 1583882.
