Steps to reproduce:
Please add way to mute or adjust volume of video direct from PIP modal.
Sometimes I only want to mute (live transmissions) without need to use original tab.
If possible. Make PIP modal more independent.
Actual results:
Can't control PIP modal video mute or volume.
Expected results:
Ways to control PIP modal audio without original tab.

Yeah, I agree it should be possible to add better controls to PIP, and mute is quite useful.
Opera PIP implementation is a good source of inspiration imho :)
This is possible through about:config with media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.audio-toggle.enabled set to true. Should this be closed as fixed or should this mute control behaviour be default?
This change will be rolled out in a duplicate bug in Fx 101.
